Formed in 2020, TROJ is a pop-rock band hailing from Limburg (NL). Comprised of 5 members, the band's sound is characterized by rock, blues, pop and jazz influences. Known for their electrifying live performances and raw, honest songwriting.

Over the years, the band has built a devoted fanbase thanks to their dynamic sound and high-energy shows, which often feature crowd-surfing, stage-diving, and other rowdy antics.

Whether they're performing in front of a packed stadium or a small club, TROJ always delivers an unforgettable experience that leaves audiences begging for more.

Oleander Starmans - Vocals

Oleander is a talented singer born and raised in Maastricht. From a young age, Oleander was exposed to a family of musicians, and at the age of 16, began to pursue her passion for singing. Oleander has since been a part of multiple bands and has developed a versatile singing style, ranging from rock to ballads, funk, country, and pop songs. With a natural talent for music, Oleander has captured the hearts of audiences with her captivating performances and soulful voice. Over the years, she has honed her craft and became an accomplished singer, with a reputation for her dynamic vocal range and stage presence.

Now at the age of 28, Oleander continues to pursue her love for music and inspires others with their passion for singing. Whether performing on stage or recording in the studio, Oleander brings a unique energy and creativity to her music, and is sure to make a lasting impression on the music world.

J.B. - Guitar/Backing Vocals

This man is born with a guitar in his hands. As a rock/blues guitarist he has played several bands and participated in many projects.

René Dohmen - Bass/Saxes

Born and raised in Ittervoort, René is a bassist and saxophonist known for his dynamic and innovative approach to jazz and funk music. His first music education was heavenly classical inspired, playing at the Koninklijke Harmonie Thorn but after touching the Sax he got hooked to jazz. With a career spanning over two decades he has become a sought-after session player and collaborator, lending his talents to a wide range of musical projects and genres.

After discovering his love for music at an early age, René began studying the saxophone and bass in earnest, immersing himself in the works of jazz legends like Gerry Mulligan, Dave Brubeck and Miles Davis. He honed his skills by performing with local bands and jam sessions, developing a distinctive style that blends virtuosic soloing with deep groove and soulful expression.

Tiemen Rabier - Drums

Tiemen is a classically trained percussionist and was trained by two instructors. Already at a young age, Tiemen joined the renowned [http://www.harmoniethorn.nl/](St. Michaël Wind Orchestra) in his hometown of Thorn. This orchestra and its drumband have achieved many national and international successes, from Limburgs- to Dutch- and even World champion titles. After experience with effect instruments, melodic percussion and timpani Tiemen found the love for drums.

Soon he formed his first band (Sex4Money) together with friends such as René Dohmen. Several other bands and projects would follow ranging from pop to metal, including the Stoner band "Four Tree Society" and the progressive band "Devon". Tiemen has a life long experience with playing percussion and drums in a broad range of musical styles. Drumming is like a second nature.

Alwin Struijlaart - Keyboards

Already at young age Alwin started making electronic music in his small bedroom studio in the early nineties with synthesizers and samplers. In 2012 he joined the funk/jazz band "Orange Solution" as keyboardist. Alwin is the most recent addition to te band and joined in the summer of 2022. As a gimmick he also strums a few chords on the ukulele, now and then.

Despite his love for EDM, Alwin's musical interests are not limited to this genre. He enjoys listening to and playing a wide variety of music, from synth wave to classical. Spending countless hours in his studio creating and mixing tracks, to experiment with different sounds and rhythms. Alwin's love for music is contagious, and he enjoys sharing his passion with others.
